Gabriel Jesus BANNED from popular video game Counter-Strike for alleged cheating as Arsenal star pleads developers to look into his case on social media

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has been banned from Counter-Strike for alleged cheating, and has plead with the developers on social media.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Brazilian has revealed himself to be a massive first-person shooter video game fan with an astronomical £30,000 ($38,000) in-game purchases. Jesus has even got a customised M4A1-S Hot Rod gun worth £630 ($800) with several fancy stickers on the barrel. However, Jesus' over-indulgence fetched him a heavy sanction from the developers as his account remains banned.

    Jesus took to to share his plight and urged Valve, the developer, to restore his account. He wrote: "Hi @counterstrike my account received a VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban unfairly, can you help me? Follow the account link and print of the ban."

    The ban reportedly occurred on Saturday, around the same time when Jesus was on the field helping Arsenal secure a 5-0 victory against Crystal Palace. He contributed by setting up Leandro Trossard for the Gunners' third goal while Gabriel Magalhaes, an own goal from Dean Henderson, and a late brace from Gabriel Martinelli sealed a thumping victory over Roy Hodgson's troops.

    Jesus also shares his gaming experiences on Twitch and had previously streamed a session with his compatriot Neymar, attracting a substantial audience of over 10,000 viewers. However, a section of Arsenal fans were happy to see him get banned as it has been over a month since he found the net in the Premier League – against Brighton on December 17 in a 2-0 win.
